joomlalogo.jpg Welcome to the new website for Kaslo infoNet Society! Established in 1996, our main goal is to create awareness and access to high-speed internet through the rural regions of the Lardeau Valley and Kaslo area of British Columbia, Canada. This site will serve as an up-to-date basis for all information related to us and what we do. We are currently migrating our web presence from the current www.kaslo.org page, and upgrades such as a public discussion forum will be posted soon.

Arrived at this page through our free WiFi Hotspot? Visit us here for more information!

Looking for sign-up information for our new Wireless High Speed Internet services in the Kaslo area? We are currently serving the Mirror Lake, Shutty Bench and Fletcher Falls areas. Contact our Operations Manager, Rob McLennan at 353-1546 for more details.

In October 2007, Kaslo infoNet hosted a regional workshop facilitated by the BC3.
In the interest of creating a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between bordering
community groups working towards co-operative association.

This discussion forum was attended at the Langham Cultural Centre in Kaslo by representatives from:
- East Shore Internet Society
- Riondel Cable Society
- Yahk Area B Communications Society
- Kaslo infoNet Society
- a new group working towards Emergency Services in the Creston Valley

With the help of facilitator Michael Farnsworth, we developed a draft Memorandum of Understanding, and examined some of the potential benefits of working together co-operatively.
